Was hoping you guys would win 1st pick. Would have been awesome to see the reaction of that stupid Toronto bar they were showing a feed of.

Did they have live feeds from any other city???? Ottawa should have hired Bettman's little boy Brandon, then you might have had a chance.

I have a feeling Edm might trade down with a team like OTT since I think one of the dmen is going to fall come draft day, and then OTT might have a chance of Dubois/Thakuk whoever is left

Yes. Obviously due to them ultimately not being in the mix there was nothing to show in Canada

they had live feeds of most/all canadian cities. They did briefly show ottawa. It was five lonely dudes drinking at a bar. They showed winnipeg. I dont remember seeing the others.

If it was Carolina, it woulda been a rundown bar with a single dude wearing a hartford whalers jersey

They did have a feed from Ottawa... There was 3 guys in Ottawa jerseys, and 27 Leafs fans.

... on a more serious note, Sergachyov would be an excellent add for the Sens if he is around there.

If not, Macleod looked fantastic at the prospects game.

i'm kind of hopign Chychrun (sp?) will still be there. about 40% of the mock drafts i see have in at around 7-8, and the other half have him at about 12.

also wondering if ottawa won't maybe package pick 12 and hoffman and maybe move up (if they can't re-sign him).....i don't think that would get us into the 2-3 range, but potentially into the 5 or 6 range, grab Nylander and add some fire to our rivalry. haha

i don't know about him.......he seems to have shot up based on pretty much only his performance at the U-18's. he plays in a league lower than the CHL........I think this kid wreaks of that jawnorcki (whatever the (frank) his name was) that the flames took a few years back. probably a good player, but also probably a 4-5 year project.

i either want them from the CHL, NCAA, or Europe......taking flyers on kids in inferior leagues because of a good tournament seems risky.

This seems like a perfect draft for the Sens to trade up, while not paying a huge cost. Tkachuk would be a great get there

Jankowski (aka Janitor) was picked relatively high at the time. Howrver, the 12 draft proved to be largely a bust, and in hindsight, seems like a relatively solid pick. In a perfect world he will project to be Otto 2.0 and has a chance to make the team this year. If Calgary flips Backlund, he would slot well as a 3 C for the forseeable future. And has an NCAA title to boot.

take pick number 12 and move on with Sens life. Free agent frenzy is looking fine July 1st we should be able to get someone good.

He wanted to go the college route so he couldnt go to the CHL. Jamie Benn came from the same league but he has bust written all over him

Sens would be lucky to grab him he is clutch, he will probably be taken by then anyway.

Benn played 1 season there when he was like 17 or something, and then went to play for Kelowana for the next 2 years. he was also taken in the 4th or 5th round and nobody ever thought he'd be the player he turned out to be............he is ABSOLUTELY the exception not the rule.

that's like saying "hey, look at marty st. louis, that must mean that all undrafted midgets will be hart trophy winning cup champions"

i honestly don't know enough about him to make any kind of serious judgement.....i'd just rather take a player who's established himself in a better league then to take a flyer on a kid who hasn't spent the season (other than one tourney) playing against top competition.

Hoffman WILL get a 4 - 5 year deal from the Sens this summer. Book it!

Can't see PD going after any UFA's.

I've done some research and I like C/RW Michael McLeod with the 12th pick.
